Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Recipe Sender for Thermomix®, a ChatGPT plugin operated by byGMV, collects and how it is used.
What we collect
The plugin has no accounts and never asks for your Cookidoo or Vorwerk login, your name, your email address, or payment details. When you ask to send a recipe, its name, servings, times, ingredients, steps, and tips are sent to Cookidoo, which is run by Vorwerk, and published there under one of our own Cookidoo accounts. When cover photos are enabled, a short description of how the finished dish looks, or else its name and the names of its main ingredients, is also sent to fal.ai, an image generation provider, which creates the photo with AI. The photo is then stored by Cookidoo with the recipe. To pick the right Cookidoo country site, the plugin reads the country from the approximate location ChatGPT provides and does not store that location: only the resulting two-letter country code may appear in a server log line, with nothing about who asked. Do not put personal information in a recipe. Our server does not keep the recipe or the photo. It stores only:
- A count of recipes sent to Cookidoo and of sends that failed, each with its time, the Cookidoo country site it went to, whether it was our own test, and whether it came through our own web page. A failed send also records whether it could have left a recipe on Cookidoo, the kind of failure, for example that Cookidoo could not be reached, and whether Cookidoo refused our own account. These records contain no recipe text, no link, and nothing about who asked.
- The Cookidoo id of each recipe created in one of our Cookidoo accounts, the Cookidoo country site it is on, and the time it was created, so that we can find and delete it there. Each record also has a short code that says which of our own Cookidoo accounts created it. The id is the last part of the public link. These records contain no recipe text and nothing about who asked.
- A count of recipe previews with their times, kept in memory only and reset whenever the server restarts.
- When cover photos are enabled, a count of cover photos requested from the image provider, of photos it created, of photos added to a recipe, and of photos that failed, each with its time and whether it was our own test. A requested photo also records whether the recipe came through our own web page. These records contain no recipe text, no photo, and nothing about who asked.
- The sign-in tokens of our own Cookidoo accounts, one account per Cookidoo country site, which the server needs to create recipes. They are not yours and say nothing about you.
ChatGPT may attach anonymized identifiers and a coarse location hint to requests, and every request carries a network address. The server uses the anonymized identifier and the network address only in memory, to limit abuse, and does not store them or write them to logs.
Why we use it
To run the feature you asked for, to fix reported problems, and to count aggregate usage, such as how many recipes were started. We do not build profiles, sell data, or show ads.
Who receives it
A recipe you ask to send goes to Cookidoo, a service of Vorwerk, and is stored on Vorwerk's systems under one of our Cookidoo accounts, on the Cookidoo site of your country. It is public: anyone who has the link can open and save it, and Cookidoo shows it as shared by the Cookidoo community. Vorwerk's own terms and privacy policy apply to it there. When cover photos are enabled, a short description of how the finished dish looks, or else the recipe name and the names of its main ingredients, goes to fal.ai, the image generation provider that creates the cover photo, and nothing else about the recipe or about you goes there. fal.ai's own terms and privacy policy apply to what it receives. The photo is stored on Vorwerk's systems with the recipe. Counts and tokens stay on a server operated by byGMV. Traffic passes through Cloudflare, our network provider. We do not share data with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Our server keeps no recipe content. A recipe you sent stays public on Cookidoo until we delete it from our Cookidoo account, which we do when you ask and may do at any time. A copy you saved to your own Cookidoo account is yours and is not affected. The stored id of a recipe is removed when we delete that recipe from our Cookidoo account. Counts that contain no recipe content are kept for as long as the plugin runs.
Your choices
You can stop using the plugin at any time. To ask us to delete a recipe sooner, email hello@bygmv.com with the details you have about it.
Children
The plugin is not directed to children under 13.
